| A Lesson from the Kangaroo
They spoke of the kangaroo-- the silent, usually gentle creature that grows from two to seven feet tall and is found in earth colors of soft silver gray to copper red. At birth the red kangaroo is the size and weight of one kidney bean, yet at maturity it stands seven feet tall. They think Mutants make too much of skin colors and body shapes. The main lesson taken from the kangaroo is that it does not step backwards. It is not possible for it. It always goes forward, even when the world is going around in circles! Its long tail is like the trunk of a tree and bears its weight. Many people choose the kangaroo as their totem because they feel a real kinship and recognize the necessity of learning balance in their personality. I liked the idea of looking back over my life and considering even when it appeared I had made mistakes or poor choices, on some level of my being, it was the best I could do at the time. In the kangaroo it was going to prove to be a step forward. Marlo Morgan |

| "From Enigma"
Look into the others eyes, many frustrations. Read between the lines. No words just vibrations. Don't ignore hidden desires. Pay attention, you're playing with fire. Silence must be heard, noise should be observed. The time has come to learn, that silence… - silence must be heard. Or diamonds will burn. Friendly cards will turn cause silence has the right to be heard. People talk too much for what they have to say. Words without a meaning, just fading away. Silence must be heard, noise should be observed. The time has come to learn, that silence… silence must be heard. Or diamonds will burn, friendly cards will turn. Cause silence has the right to be heard . |
| RelationShifts
In relationship, women (and men) often notice that their partners are not emotionally available. The truth is that neither men nor women are emotionally unavailable to themselves. The only way to attract a partner that is emotionally available is to cultivate that level of attention to ourselves. Feel your feelings. Keep feeling your feelings. Stay with your feelings without thinking about them, without interpreting them, without judging them. Compassionately stay present to the rich expressions of your emotional body. Lovingly be with your instinctual self as you would be with a child or a pet. ~Unknown~ |
| I CAN FLY Lyrics by R.KELLY I used to think I that I could not go on and life was nothing but an awful song But now I know the meaning of true love I'm leaning on the everlasting arms. If I can see it then I can do it If I just believe it there's nothing to it I believe I can fly I believe I can touch the sky I think about it every night and day Spread my wings and fly away I believe I can soar See me runnin' through that open door I believe I can fly I believe I can fly I believe I can fly See I was on the verge of breakin' down Sometimes silence can seem so loud There are miracles in life I must achieve But first I know it starts inside of me Oh, if I can see it then I can be it If I just believe it there's nothin' to it I believe I can fly I believe I can touch the sky I think about it every night and day Spread my wings and fly away I believe I can soar See me runnin' through that open door I believe I can fly I believe I can fly Oh, I believe I can fly Hey, 'cuz I believe in You If I can see it then I can do it If I just believe it there's nothin' to it. I believe I can fly....whoo! I believe I can touch the sky I think about it every night and day Spread my wings and fly away I believe I can soar See me runnin' through that open door I believe I can fly I believe I can fly I believe I can fly If I just spread my wings I can fly I can fly I can fly Hey, if I just spread my wings I can fly whoo!! fly............ |
| Lyrics George Harrison
"Within You Without You " We were talking - about the space between us all And the people - who hide themselves behind a wall of illusion Never glimpse the truth - then it's far too late - when they pass away. We were talking - about the love we all could share - when we find it To try our best to hold it there - with our love With our love - we could save the world - if they only knew. Try to realise it's all within yourself no-one else can make you change And to see you're really only very small, and life flows on within you and without you. We were talking - about the love that's gone so cold and the people, Who gain the world and lose their soul - they don't know - they can't see - are you one of them? When you've seen beyond yourself - then you may find, peace of mind is waiting there - And the time will come when you see WE'RE ALL ONE and life flows on within you and without you. |
| The REAL Southernmost Point Ask any local from the Keys, and they'll tell you that the southernmost point in the USA is Homestead, Florida. The Keys aren't even a part of Florida, they say. They're the Conch Republic (pronounced conk). In the early 1980s, the federal government was concerned about the amount of smuggling going on from Cuba and the other islands in the Caribbean to the Keys. After all, anyone could sail over, hop in a car, and drive into the mainland without question. So, the Feds set up a roadblock on the 18 mile stretch between Key Largo and Homestead. The roadblock was basically a customs check. Everyone who came from the Keys to the mainland were questioned intensely and had their cars searched. Tourism went down the toilet because travelling there was such a pain in the ass. After numerous attempts to have the roadblock removed, political activist and Keys resident by the name of Daniel Wardloe came up with a solution: On April 23, 1982, the Keys seceded from the United States and become their own country. The Conch Republic was formed. Once the formal declaration was given, they promptly declared war on the United States of America. One minute later, they surrendered, and applied to the UN for foreign aid. Needless to say, the roadblock was taken down, the customs officers removed, and life went back to normal. Almost. Every April 23, the Keys still celebrate Independence Day. A shirt from the tenth anniversary reads this slogan: We Seceded Where Others Failed |

| THE DANCE
What if it truly doesn’t matter what you do but how you do whatever you do? How would this change what you choose to do with your life? What if there is no need to change, no need to try and transform yourself into someone who is more compassionate, more present, more loving or wise? How would this effect all the places in your life where you are endlessly trying to be better? What if the question is not why am I so infrequently the person I really want to be, but why do I so infrequently want to be the person I really am? How would this change what you think you have to learn? What if you knew that the impulse to move in a way that creates beauty in the world will arise deep within and guide you every time you simply pay attention and wait? How would this shape your stillness, your movement, your willingness to follow this impulse, to just let go and dance? Now just get up...jump around too the music and feel soooo good even if you don't *S* ~Unknown |
