He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosario Rioseco and Seferino; sisters, Ana Rose Rivera and Ofelia Rivera; and brother, Edi Rivera.

Those who will cherish his memory are his sons, Elio Rivera Jr., David Rivera and Michael Rivera; daughter, Yanais Rivera; brothers, Rolando (Lourdes) Rivera, Pascual (Lila) Rivera, Seferino (Maria E.) Rivera, and Eduardo (Digna) Rivera; sisters, Zoila Rivera, Marie E. (Pedro Carballo) and Helen Rivera (Doug) Driver; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be from noon to midnight today, Wednesday, May 28, 2008. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2008, in the Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Seamus Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Key West City Cemetery.
All arrangements are entrusted to Castillo and Thurston's Key West Mortuary.
